Using design to clarify 1,000+ messages for a trade expo.
ASME // Turbo Expo
Challenge
Turbo Expo has countless moving parts: sessions, workshops, tutorials, mixers, socials, magazines, awards, exhibitions (and more). Can we give the expo one visual language that organizes, clarifies, and communicates hundreds of pages of information to turbomachinery professionals?
Outcome
A visual language (redesigned every year) that flows across all mediums—editorial, experiential, environmental, digital, and so on—while organizing volumes of technical details in a clearer, smarter way. Braintrust also captured all the photography (and some video) for use on all collateral and in promoting future expos.

Global Gas Turbine News
There are four issues of Global Gas Turbine News (GGTN) between every Turbo Expo. We lay out every page of each segment, including the cover. Every issue includes technical articles, announcements, and other content—we organize everything to be clear and digestible.

Final Program
The final program is a 250+ page book (length varies by year) containing every important piece of information about Turbo Expo—plenaries, workshops, tutorials, maps, exhibitions, sponsors, focus tracks—you name it. We design the look and lay out the content every year. We captured all of the photography of the expo featured in the program.
